What we are looking for:
Lloyd's Registers Advisory provides services to the full maritime supply chain, helping our customers design, construct and operate their assets to the highest levels of safety, performance, and return on investment. Our experts in maritime technology, design, risk, machinery, materials, sustainability, fuels, business strategy, digitisation and safety, provide a range of services to address the toughest challenges facing our industry.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the highly talented Lloyd's Register Advisory Team as the manager of the 'Naval Architecture - Ship Design' team. In this role you will manage a team of naval architects supporting our clients by delivering a range of services including design and modification studies, drawing production, risk studies, independent yard and vendor assessments, independent owner support, failure investigations, life extension studies, and operational assessments. You will also support our sales teams with developing client value propositions, project proposals and undertaking activities to raise LR Advisory's global profile in Naval Architecture advisory.
You will be based in Southampton or London with a team currently based in Southampton and Singapore. There will be a requirement to undertake travel on occasion for client-related work and for business development.
The successful candidate for this role will have a passion for naval architecture and ship design, strong commercial acumen, and excellent communication skills. They will have an inquisitive mind with a willingness to engage with the multidisciplinary teams across LR and our clients to develop innovative solutions that address client challenges.
The LR Advisory business is rapidly expanding, and naval architecture advisory is a key part of that growth. The ideal candidate will be one that has experience with growing teams and businesses in a challenging technical environment.
