Gwent Wildlife Trust is seeking a dedicated Nature Reserves Coordinator to manage a portfolio of nature reserves across Gwent that are freely open to visitors. Contract type: Permanent subject to a 4-month Probationary period
Working hours: Full-time 35hr week
Location: Across Gwent and Head Office at Mamhilad, Pontypool.

You will oversee practical action for wildlife, and activities for volunteers as well as work with contractors, graziers, neighbours and partners to ensure nature is in recovery and habitats are in good condition.
Working in a small Nature Recovery Team, reporting to the Nature Recovery Manager, you will play a key part in looking after the ‘Jewels in the Crown’ of Gwent Wildlife Trust’s landholdings. We are looking for a passionate, hard worker with knowledge and practical skills in habitat management for wildlife. You will need good inter-personal skills to deal with a range of people from the public, to neighbours, volunteers and statutory bodies. Familiar with working safely, and prepared to work outside in all weathers, this is a challenging but very rewarding opportunity.
