We are looking for a Natural Capital Solicitor to join the Planning and Environment team in our Ross-on-Wye, Lydney or Bristol office. This is a newly created role, in a fascinating and fast-growing area of law, working with developers and landowners on environmental improvements and land regeneration. This is a perfect opportunity for an experienced solicitor with a strong interest in this area of law.

This is a hybrid role, and you can be based in our Ross-on-Wye, Lydney or Bristol office. There will be the opportunity for you to work with other fee earners within the team based at our other offices. It’s a full-time position, 35 hours per week. We will consider applications from candidates looking for part-time positions.
About the team:
Thrings has established itself as a leading provider of legal services in the Natural Capital sector, working closely with land managers, farmers, developers, and operators on delivering exciting new environmental projects and accessing new natural capital markets. Our clients are constantly working up innovative solutions to complex environmental challenges and require sophisticated and commercially astute legal solutions.
As the new natural capital markets develop at pace, we are advising clients on landscape recovery projects, new concepts for nature-based greenhouse gas removals, nationally significant nutrient mitigation schemes, and major projects across the country for enhancing biodiversity for mandatory BNG and voluntary biodiversity markets.
Our team is growing and we are looking for applications from candidates with a strong interest in this area.
