Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK, formerly Hanson UK, is seeking a SHE Training Manager in Maidenhead. This hybrid role (2 days in office) shapes national safety training, governance and digital learning for thousands of employees.

You will lead a strategic framework, manage external providers, develop blended learning, apprenticeships and ensure compliance with industry standards, reporting to senior SHE leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in SHE, competence or technical training strategy.
• Proven background in training governance and provider management.
• Experience leading the design and delivery of large scale training programmes.

Responsibilities

• Own the national SHE training & competence strategy.
• Shape technical capability and behavioural improvement.
• Lead governance of external training providers.
• Represent HMUK in MPQC and industry groups.
• Develop modern blended learning, e-learning and catalogues.
• Lead SHE apprenticeships and specialist capability programmes.
• Own the Learning Management System and digital learning roadmap.
• Lead system enhancements, integration and user adoption across the UK.
• Manage multiple national providers for cost, quality and compliance.
• Drive KPI reporting across compliance, delivery and cost.
• Provide technical assurance to Senior SHE Leadership.
• Work with operational, SHE and training teams to align training with risk.
