Job summary

Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) is seeking a senior programme lead to develop and oversee a national work programme that supports national priorities across Planned Care, Mental Health, and related areas.

The postholder will coordinate with NHS Wales partners, align with the IMTP and Education and Training Plan, and drive workforce planning and service delivery through programme management practices.

Qualifications

• Lead the national programme function aligning with NHS Wales priorities.
• Develop and implement service-facing workforce plans across HEIW.
• Collaborate with NHS Performance and Improvement and Mental Health leads.

Responsibilities

• Lead the national programme function within HEIW and act as the key interface with national programmes.
• Oversee delivery of strategic service-based workforce plans aligned with national priorities.
• Drive programme management practices to deliver planned outcomes across HEIW teams.
