Job summary

Public Services Delivery Scotland in Scotland is seeking an experienced leader to provide national coordination for the Pregnancy and Newborn Screening Programme. You will guide governance, strategy and service change at a national level, influencing diverse stakeholders across the country.

The role requires strategic thinking and strong collaboration across maternity, laboratory and public health teams, with hybrid working patterns and a 36-hour week. Applicants must reside in the UK.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in programme management within a healthcare or public health setting.
• Strong skills in quality assurance, clinical governance and service improvement.
• Experience working across organisational boundaries and influencing at a national level.
• Ability to build relationships and partnerships with diverse stakeholders across Scotland.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and national coordination across all elements of Scotland’s Pregnancy and Newborn Screening Programme.
• Shape and strengthen Scotland’s national screening programmes and improve outcomes for mothers and babies.
• Advise the Scottish Government and lead planning of national screening programme strategy and service change.
• Influence across complex systems and foster collaborative partnerships with maternity, laboratory services and public health leads.
