Job summary

SEA LIFE is seeking a National Jellyfish Specialist to oversee jellyfish care and display standards across the UK. You will lead a team, drive propagation efforts, and ensure ethical handling while maintaining captivating exhibits for visitors.

The role requires proven aquarium experience, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of life support systems, water quality, and safety regulations. It is a full-time position with weekend and after-hours responsibilities and generous staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience in aquarium displays and jellyfish husbandry.
• Ability to lead and coordinate a team across sites.
• Strong understanding of water environments and life support systems.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide husbandry support and training to SEA LIFE sites across the UK.
• Coordinate jellyfish propagation, acquisition, and quarantine.
• Manage jellyfish polyp bank and share best practices across sites.
• Collaborate on display developments to create engaging guest experiences.
