Responsibilities

• Support high‑voltage substation works to ensure safety and quality.
• Work as part of a multi‑discipline site team on project sites.
• Maintain compliance with CSCS, safety and site procedures.

Overview

Active (Pathways) Solutions are seeking skilled and motivated National Grid Authorised Groundworker to join our team. You'll be supporting a range of substation project in Glasgow contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of high-voltage electrical works.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Valid and up-to-date documentation - including CSCS/ Safety Passport, and relevant National Grid Persons authorization, HSG47, Dumper, Telehandler, Slinger/Signaller & Manual Handling
• Proven substation experience - previous work on National Grid, Scottish Power or DNO sites is essential.
• Verifiable references - able to provide evidence of experience and competency within the substation or high-voltage industry.

We're Looking for Individuals Who:

• Show excellent attention to detail - ensuring precision, quality, and safety at all times.
• Work effectively as part of a team - collaborating with multi-discipline site crews.
• Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills - adapting confidently to changing site conditions.

Desirable Additional Qualifications

Having any of the following would be an advantage:

• IPAF (MEWP)
• Telehandler (CPCS or NPORS)
• PASMA
• First Aid
• Manual Handling
• Abrasive Wheels
• Other relevant industry-related courses
