Job summary

Kinaxia Logistics is seeking a Driver Development Manager to lead and support our network of Driver Trainers across the UK. This national role will shape driver standards, improve compliance, and deliver best-in-class development programmes.

Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will own training standards, oversee CPC delivery, assess trainers, and collaborate with Fleet, HR and Operations to drive safety and performance. The role is Monday to Friday with national travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in driver training within a transport or logistics environment.
• Strong understanding of transport compliance, including Driver Hours regulations and Working Time Directive requirements.
• Experience developing and delivering driver training programmes.
• Experience supporting or coaching Driver Trainers and drivers.
• Knowledge of telematics, tachograph analysis and driver performance reporting.
• Experience investigating incidents and conducting root cause analysis.
• Strong presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Driver Trainer network, ensuring training standards are delivered consistently across all sites.
• Conduct audits, observations and competency assessments of Driver Trainers.
• Develop, maintain and enhance driver training materials and development programmes.
• Manage and oversee the Driver CPC programme, including in-house CPC delivery.
• Investigate driver-related incidents and vehicle collisions, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Analyse telematics, tachograph and compliance data to identify trends and training needs.
• Work with operational teams to improve driver safety, compliance, fuel efficiency and overall performance.
• Support driver recruitment, assessment and selection processes.
• Produce KPI reports and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the driver population.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Operations, Fleet, HR and Compliance functions.
