National Driver Training & Compliance Leader

Job summary

Kinaxia Logistics Limited is seeking a experienced transport professional to take ownership of driver training standards across the business, ensuring a consistent development approach, assessments, Driver CPC programmes and compliance training.

You will collaborate with operational teams, Driver Trainers, Fleet, HR and Compliance to identify development opportunities, reduce risk and improve driver performance across the network on a multi-site, national basis.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in driver training within a transport or logistics environment.
• Strong understanding of transport compliance, including Driver Hours regulations and Working Time Directive requirements.
• Experience developing and delivering driver training programmes.
• Experience supporting or coaching Driver Trainers and drivers.
• Knowledge of telematics, tachograph analysis and driver performance reporting.
• Experience investigating incidents and conducting root cause analysis.
• Strong presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a national workload.
• Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Driver Trainer network, ensuring training standards are delivered consistently across all sites.
• Conduct audits, observations and competency assessments of Driver Trainers.
• Develop, maintain and enhance driver training materials and development programmes.
• Manage and oversee the Driver CPC programme, including in-house CPC delivery.
• Investigate driver-related incidents and vehicle collisions, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Analyse telematics, tachograph and compliance data to identify trends and training needs.
• Work with operational teams to improve driver safety, compliance, fuel efficiency and overall performance.
• Support driver recruitment, assessment and selection processes.
• Produce KPI reports and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the driver population.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Operations, Fleet, HR and Compliance functions.
