Job summary

Government Recruitment Service in Basildon is seeking an Operational Leader to drive the Directed Surveillance Authority function within the CFCD of the DWP. You will lead a nationally dispersed team, ensure compliance with RIPA and related legislation, and oversee governance and inspections to uphold high standards of delivery.

You will coach colleagues, optimise resources, and deliver robust performance management while maintaining public confidence in counter fraud objectives and data

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a senior operations role.
• Experience managing dispersed teams and performance.
• Ability to coach and develop colleagues to improve capability.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and optimise resources to meet performance objectives.
• Drive resource management and colleague engagement, wellbeing and performance.
• Demonstrate innovation to improve service delivery.
• Build team capability through coaching and development.
• Manage performance, quality, and attendance with regular reviews.
• Lead governance activity, assurance reviews and reporting for the service.
• Oversee surveillance-related IT systems for data integrity and security.
• Prepare for IPCO inspections and implement recommendations.
• Ensure lawful, proportionate and ethical surveillance to support counter fraud objectives.
