Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is recruiting an Operational Leader for the Department for Work and Pensions’ CFCD in Bromley. You will head a nationwide team handling surveillance authorisation and governance under RIPA, ensuring lawful, ethical practice.

You will drive improvements, support IPCO inspections, and oversee records compliance while coaching colleagues to respond to evolving threats and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a national surveillance capability.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Knowledge of RIPA 2000 and related laws.
• Ability to support IPCO inspections and ensure compliance.
• Coaching and developing colleagues to adapt to evolving threats.

Responsibilities

• Lead a national team responsible for surveillance authorisation and governance.
• Ensure lawful, proportionate, and ethical surveillance.
• Support IPCO inspections and implement recommendations.
• Maintain oversight of surveillance records and data integrity.
• Drive continuous improvement through quality assurance and performance reporting.
