Job Description:

National Account Manager (DIY & Distribution) – Building Products

Area to be covered: National (2 days home based)

Benefits: £9,000 annual car allowance or company car & full benefits

The role of the National Account Manager – Wood Products will involve:

  • Managing a high-quality range of engineered wood products as a National Account Controller
  • Managing, developing, and mentoring one direct report
  • Focusing on managing one of our client's largest DIY distribution accounts (B&Q)
  • Supporting new product launches and development
  • Implementing pricing strategies
  • Liaising with internal customer service, marketing, supply, and transport teams
  • Willingness to cover national territory with regular commutes to Southampton

The ideal candidate will be an experienced National Account Manager – Wood Products with:

  • A proven track record in sales and account management
  • Experience managing large accounts in retail / DIY distribution sectors
  • Previous dealings with Kingfisher Group preferred
  • Experience selling timber / wood products is advantageous but not essential
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to establish sustainable contractual agreements
