Job Description:

National Account Manager (DIY & Distribution) – Building Products

Area to be covered: National (2 days home based)

Benefits: £9,000 annual car allowance or company car & full benefits

The role of the National Account Manager – Wood Products will involve:

  • Managing a high-quality range of engineered wood products as a National Account Controller
  • Managing, developing, and mentoring one direct report
  • Focusing on managing one of our client's largest DIY distribution accounts (B&Q)
  • Supporting new product launches and development
  • Implementing pricing strategies
  • Liaising with customer service, marketing, supply, and transport teams
  • Willing to travel nationally and be commutable to Southampton regularly

The ideal applicant will be a National Account Manager – Wood Products with:

  • Proven sales and account management experience
  • Experience managing large retail/DIY distribution accounts
  • Previous dealings with the Kingfisher Group (preferred)
  • Experience selling timber/wood products (preferred but not essential)
  • Commercially astute with the ability to create sustainable contractual agreements
