Job Description:

Position: National Account Manager – Wood Products

Area to be covered: National (2 days home based)

Benefits: £9,000 annual car allowance or company car & full benefits

The role involves:

  • Managing a high-quality range of engineered wood products as a National Account Controller
  • Managing, developing, and mentoring one direct report
  • Focus on managing a major DIY distribution account (B&Q)
  • Supporting new product launches and development
  • Implementing pricing strategies
  • Collaborating with internal teams including customer service, marketing, supply chain, and transport
  • Regular travel to Southampton for meetings
Candidate Requirements:
  • Proven sales and account management experience
  • Experience managing large retail or DIY distribution accounts
  • Previous dealings with the Kingfisher Group are advantageous
  • Experience selling timber or wood products is preferred but not essential
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to establish sustainable contractual agreements
