National Account Manager – Grocery, Convenience & Wholesale

Up to £58,000 + 20% bonus + Benefits
The Opportunity
Nter Talent are currently supporting one of the UK’s fastest‑growing challenger brands. Tehy're B Corp certified, stocked nationwide already and looking for significant growth.
We’re now looking for a National Account Manager to take ownership of a multi‑million‑pound portfolio across grocery, convenience and wholesale, reporting directly into the Head of Sales.
This is a high‑impact commercial role where you’ll shape customer strategy, win new business, and help accelerate next phase of growth.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver revenue growth, volume commitments and profit targets across your customer base.
- Build and execute annual customer plans for your accounts.
- Negotiate and deliver joint business plans and cost price increases.
- Win new business and expand distribution across grocery, convenience and wholesale.
Customer partnership
- Develop JBPs that deliver profitable growth for both the business and the customer.
- Manage a proactive customer contact strategy that builds rapport and momentum.
- Hold regular meetings with key contacts to keep plans moving.
- Use insight and storytelling to land initiatives and influence decisions.
Insight & planning
- Ensure accurate forecasts of base volume, promo volume, revenue and profit.
- Analyse monthly and quarterly performance, recommending changes to optimise results.
- Evaluate promotions and trade investment, applying learnings to future plans.
- Become an expert in category and consumer insight for both you and your customers.
Working with the wider business
- Collaborate with marketing, operations and finance to deliver business objectives.
- Be a brand advocate to customers, the trade and the wider team.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience as a National Account Manager in FMCG.
- Strong selling, negotiation and long‑term customer partnership skills.
- Proven track record of achieving results across multiple customer types.
- Commercial acumen and confidence managing a P&L.
- Ability to analyse and interpret sales data and category insight.
- Excellent communication, organisation and presentation skills.
- High attention to detail and a right‑first‑time approach to admin.
- Learning agility, curiosity and willingness to develop.
- Confidence, enthusiasm and self‑motivation.
- A collaborative mindset and desire to deliver results as part of a cross‑functional team.
