Job summary

Morson is recruiting a Fitter/Tester – Nacelles for the Wolverhampton site in partnership with Safran. You will evaluate, assemble and test nacelle units from controlled documentation, ensuring quality and conformance to CMMs and acceptance tests.

The role offers hands-on mechanical and electrical testing in a regulated aerospace environment with a focus on continuous improvement and Lean initiatives. Training provided where required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical or Engineering discipline.
• Strong hands-on mechanical fitting and assembly experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering or aerospace environments.
• Ability to read and work from technical documentation and drawings.
• Good understanding of mechanical assembly and component build processes.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Ability to follow controlled processes and procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork for effective collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, strip and build nacelle units and sub-assemblies using mechanical and electrical techniques.
• Work from technical documentation, including CMMs and product acceptance test requirements.
• Carry out functional and acceptance testing with appropriate facilities and equipment.
• Record test results accurately and maintain documentation.
• Support continuous improvement and Lean activities within the team.
• Identify non-conformances and report in line with quality procedures.
• Collaborate with Team Leader to achieve production and quality objectives.
