Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust in Nottingham is seeking a Consultant Haematologist with a specialist interest in Myeloma to join the Clinical Haematology team across City campus and QMC. You will work within a 16-strong Consultant group, contribute to the Acute Haemato-Oncology service, and lead in myeloma care and related conditions while teaching and mentoring junior staff.

This substantive role requires GMC registration and CCT, and offers a full-time contract with pro rata salary

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration (or within 6 months of interview).
• CCT (or within 6 months of award of CCT by date of interview).
• Non‑UK trained residents must show equivalence to UK CCT.
• Experience in management of Myeloma and MPN.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and health professionals.

Responsibilities

• Join a team of 16 Consultants providing haematological malignancy care with a myeloma focus.
• Attend inpatient myeloma rota on a 1 in 4 cycle.
• Provide haematology services across City and QMC campuses.
• Teach, supervise and assess junior doctors and contribute to audits and research.
• Participate in Acute Haemato-Oncology service to ensure timely reviews.
