Job summary

Johns Hopkins Health System is seeking a Music Therapist to assess, plan, implement, document, and evaluate individual and group music therapy sessions. Qualifications

• Board Certified, or eligible to achieve Board Certification within one year of employment
• Strong knowledge of child development and the ability to adapt interventions to meet age-specific patient needs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Current AHA CPR and AED certification for infants, children, and adults
• NICU-MT strongly preferred
• Meets all educational, musical, clinical, and ethical competencies established by the American Music Therapy Association

Responsibilities

• Assessing, planning, implementing, documenting, and evaluating individual and group music therapy sessions to support physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of patients in medical settings
• Collaborates closely with the interdisciplinary care team to enhance the patient experience and contribute to program development and policy improvement
