Job summary

West London NHS Trust is seeking a Music Therapist to deliver individual and group music therapy within the West London Forensic Services. You will work with male and female inpatients, supported by senior arts therapists, contributing to multidisciplinary care planning and service development.

The role involves assessments, tailoring interventions to complex mental health and forensic needs, and maintaining high standards of evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• MA/MSc or equivalent training in music therapy.
• HCPC registered Arts Therapist.
• Meet conditions of Full BAMT Membership.
• Experience in adult mental health settings.
• Experience with people who display disturbed or challenging behaviour.
• Experience in MDT settings and communicating complex information.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group music therapy interventions to adults in forensic settings.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary care planning and service development.
• Assist in electronic patient records and audits to support care quality.
• Provide consultation to colleagues and supervise students where appropriate.
• Engage in research, audits and continuous improvement activities.
