Job summary

LSC is seeking a passionate Music Specialist - Choir Support to lead engaging singing sessions for primary school children in Harrow, London. You will guide choirs, supervise performances and help children prepare for school events, while prioritising safety and enjoyment.

The role offers part-time hours (3.5 hours weekly on Friday afternoons) with competitive hourly pay and ongoing professional development opportunities within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children in a choir/musical setting.
• Access to a car or the ability to travel to the location
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one

Music Specialist - Choir Support

Location: Harrow, London

Salary: £28.50 per hour
Hours: 3.5hrs per week (Friday Afternoons)

The Role:

• Lead engaging singing and musical sessions for children.


• Confidently lead choirs and group rehearsals.


• Preparing children for performances, concerts and school events

You'll have the opportunity to:

• Develop a love of music and singing in primary aged children.


• Lead engaging, creative and fun music sessions.


• Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.


• Support children with social interactions and encourage positive behaviour.


• Set up and tidy activity areas and equipment before and after sessions.


• Maintain accurate registers, report concerns and follow safeguarding procedures.


• Work collaboratively with school staff and the wider LSC team.


• Support the planning and delivery of themed sessions when required.
