Job summary

Colchester Royal Grammar School is seeking a Music Administrator to join the supportive school team. The role supports the Director of Music and the thriving Music department with curricular and extracurricular activities.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced administrator, IT literate (Word, Excel, Outlook), with excellent communication and calm under pressure. Term-time, 20 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, 8.30am–12.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience as an administrator in a busy office environment.
• Proficient IT skills with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the Director of Music and Music department.
• Support curricular and extra-curricular activities and events.
• Maintain records, handle communications and DBS processes as needed.
• Work flexibly and manage tasks in a busy school office.
