Job summary

Global Music in London seeks a Deal Structuring & Valuation Analyst to shape the financial backbone of songwriter, producer, and artist signings and acquisitions. You will build models, evaluate investments, and influence multimillion-dollar decisions alongside creative and legal teams.

The role requires strong valuation skills, a solid understanding of P&L and cash flows, and an ability to present complex data clearly.

Qualifications

• Background in Investment Banking, Private Equity, Deals, Transaction Services or M&A.
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills, including practical knowledge of discounted cash flow analysis.
• A sound understanding of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to turn complex analysis into clear PowerPoint presentations.
• Commercial curiosity, close attention to detail and confidence working with stakeholders across different disciplines.
• Music, entertainment or media experience is desirable, alongside an interest in data analytics and automation.

Responsibilities

• Build financial models and valuations for potential signings and acquisitions, including DCF, IRR and payback analysis.
• Help structure deal terms, assessing how different commercial arrangements affect returns.
• Research market trends and comparable transactions to challenge assumptions and support valuations.
• Prepare clear, insightful presentations for deal committees, highlighting financial projections, key terms and risks.
• Partner with A&R, legal and administration teams to develop a comprehensive view of each opportunity.
• Review post-deal performance against the original investment case and apply findings to future transactions.
• Improve modelling templates and analytical processes, exploring opportunities for automation.
