The role

This position offers a varied workload, providing opportunities to prepare engaging music lessons that motivate pupils and expand their musical knowledge. You will experience teaching different age groups across schools.

Your daily routine will involve visiting designated schools to teach the music curriculum to assigned classes, including whole class or school singing. You will prepare lessons aligned with the New Curriculum for Wales, collaborating with class teachers to integrate class concepts and themes, using provided templates for planning.

Do you have:

• Experience of high-quality full-class teaching of music curriculum/vocal at primary school level
• Confidence in singing
• Enthusiasm and self-motivation
• A passion for teaching music
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to plan engaging music lessons in line with the new Curriculum for Wales
• Professional liaison skills with school staff
• Good IT skills (Word and Excel)

Post requirements (qualification):

• A Music Degree (BA or BMus) (desirable)
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (desirable)
• Full driving licence and access to transport
