Job summary

Gloucestershire County Council is seeking a Visitor Experience Assistant at the Museum of Gloucester. You will be the first face visitors meet, helping deliver a memorable visitor journey through exhibitions and friendly service.

The role involves supporting events, maintaining a welcoming space, assisting with the Wheatstone Hall, and ensuring health and safety procedures are followed. 24 hours per week, permanent contract, may require some evenings for events.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills to offer a lasting, memorable experience for visitors.
• Excellent customer service and ability to engage with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors and act as the first point of contact in the Museum of Gloucester.
• Support tell the story of Gloucester through exhibitions and engagement activities.
• Keep the museum clean and presentable; assist with stocking the gift shop and café.
