Job Description:

Parsons is now hiring a Municipal Project Engineer to support our municipal clients. We have been improving infrastructure in Canada since 1964. In this position, you will perform various engineering and design assignments related to municipal roads, drainage, and utilities, including both design and construction supervision, requiring the application of basic principles and fundamental theories studied in a Bachelor Degree university engineering program, and available data in the engineering field. Additionally, you may assist in field inspections and the preparation of inspection reports.

Responsibilities:

  1. Independently develop engineering designs for roads, drainage and hydrology, utilities, and related municipal projects.
  2. Produce detailed calculations, drawings, specifications, procurement documents, design and installation packages, construction plans and documents, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses.
  3. Prepare permit documents, quantity calculations, estimates, and produce/check engineering analytical data and related information to ensure the accuracy of design/technical reports.
  4. Support other engineering activities as required.
  5. Perform other responsibilities as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  1. 4-year degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  2. 5 or more years of related civil engineering work experience.
  3. P.Eng. Certificate is preferred.
  4. Proficiency with civil/drainage related design software is preferred. Experience with tools like AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation V8i, Geopak, InRoads, StormCAD, EPA-SWMM, ArcGIS, SMS w/SRH-2D, HydroCAD Storm Sewers, CivilStorm, Inroads Storm and Sanitary, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, or similar software is advantageous.

Salary Range: $70,900 - $131,800
