Axis CLC is recruiting several experienced Multi-Trade Operatives for Anchor Contract, covering Peterborough, Cambridge and East Anglia. You will deliver responsive repairs and maintenance across homes, supported by digital systems to keep work flowing and ensure a first-class service.

Candidates should have plastering (NVQ2 ideal), plumbing/carpentry skills, and experience with tenanted properties. A full UK driving licence, DBS/CSCS considerations, and ongoing training are included as part of

• Trade qualification in carpentry or plumbing (NVQ/City & Guilds)
• CSCS card preferred (training available)
• Experience in social housing or tenanted properties
• Full UK driving licence with max 6 points
• DBS check willingness/clearance

The Role

We are recruiting several experienced and versatile Multi-Trade Operatives to join our Anchor Contract team, covering Peterborough, Cambridge and East Anglia, supporting our long-term partnership with Anchor Housing, one of the UK’s largest and most respected housing providers.

In this role, you’ll deliver responsive repairs and maintenance across a wide portfolio of homes, ensuring residents live in properties that are safe, comfortable and well maintained. You’ll be supported by modern digital systems that help keep work flowing efficiently and enable you to deliver a first-class service.

Responsibilities

• Carry out plastering repairs to a high standard (NVQ Level 2 required)

• Undertake plumbing repairs and minor installations (desirable)

• Complete carpentry works including repairs and basic joinery (desirable)

• Support a wide range of general property maintenance tasks

• Diagnose faults and deliver effective, lasting repairs

• Work independently and as part of a wider team

• Ensure all works meet safety, quality and customer service standards

• Use PDA systems to receive and complete job information

About You

• Strong plastering skills (ideally NVQ Level 2)

• Working knowledge of plumbing and carpentry

• Experience working in tenanted properties

• Good fault-finding and problem-solving ability

• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship

• Confident using PDA/mobile job systems

• Carpentry or plumbing trade qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or diploma level)

• 5+ years' experience within social housing

• Full UK manual driving licence

• No more than 6 points on driving licence

• Asbestos Awareness certificate

• CSCS card preferred (training can be provided if required)

• DBS check (or willingness to undergo)

• Eligible to work in the UK
