Job summary

Axis CLC Group is recruiting an experienced Multi Trade Operative to support our long-term partnership with Amey, delivering reactive maintenance repairs to MOD properties. You will carry out a wide range of maintenance and repair works to ensure properties remain safe, compliant and well maintained.

You will also participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota, providing emergency response and maintenance support when required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a multi-trade maintenance role with joinery, plumbing and plastering skills.
• Ability to identify faults and deliver effective repair solutions.
• Good problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Experience working in occupied and void properties.
• Confident using PDA/mobile technology.
• NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing repairs and minor installations.
• Complete carpentry repairs and basic joinery works.
• Undertake plastering repairs and patch plastering as required.
• Undertake a broad range of general property maintenance tasks.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and to a high standard.
• Work independently and collaboratively as part of the wider team.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety, quality and customer service standards.
• Use PDA/mobile technology to manage and update work orders accurately.
• Deliver reactive maintenance repairs across Ministry of Defence (MOD) properties.
• Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota as required.

We are recruiting an experienced and versatile Multi Trade Operative to support our long-term partnership with Amey, delivering reactive maintenance repairs to Ministry of Defence (MOD) properties. In this role, you will carry out a wide range of maintenance and repair works to ensure properties remain safe, compliant and well maintained. You will also participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota, providing emergency response and maintenance support when required. Using modern digital systems and mobile technology, you'll be equipped with everything you need to deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service across a varied portfolio of MOD properties.

What You'll Deliver

About You

• Confident using PDA/mobile technology.
• NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
• Additional trade qualifications are advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Able to obtain or already hold DBS and SC clearance.
• Right to work in the UK.

This role involves practical, hands-on work and requires a good level of mobility and manual dexterity. You may at times be required to work at height, in confined spaces or on uneven ground, and to use a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
