Job summary

Mears Group is seeking a Multi Skilled Operative in Milton Keynes to perform carpentry, plumbing, tiling and decorating repairs across occupied residential properties. You will work both independently and in teams, ensuring high-quality workmanship and accurate records.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, own tools, and relevant trade qualifications. You’ll deliver excellent customer service while maintaining safety and compliance across contracts.

Qualifications

• Experience across three or more trades.
• Strong tiling experience.
• Experience of domestic repairs and maintenance.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to complete accurate paperwork and records.

Responsibilities

• Carry out carpentry works as a core trade.
• Undertake plumbing, tiling, plastering and decorating repairs.
• Complete maintenance works within occupied domestic properties.
• Repair and maintain locks and associated fixtures.
• Deliver excellent customer service to tenants and residents.
• Accurately complete paperwork and electronic records using a PDA.
• Record completed works and coding information as required by the contract.
• Communicate effectively with clients, tenants and external agencies.
• Work safely and in line with company procedures and standards.
