Job summary

Berkeley Living is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our on-site team. You will support the Facilities Manager, carry out reactive and preventative maintenance across trades, and help ensure void apartments are ready for new residents.

Based on a hybrid model, you will split time between two Berkeley Living sites, commuting by public transport or car. A proactive, safety-conscious mindset and excellent customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience across trades (plumbing, carpentry, basic electrics).
• Strong problem-solving skills with practical, long-term solutions.
• Customer-focused approach and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day maintenance tasks to meet high standards.
• Log defects and snags and coordinate with external contractors as needed.
• Respond to urgent issues (drains, lighting, plumbing) promptly.
• Carry out routine maintenance and preventative tasks.
• Manage stock of spares and assist with move-in/move-out readiness.
