Job summary

Searchability (UK) Ltd in Tunbridge Wells is seeking a Multiskilled Technician with HGV Class 2 driving to join our environmental and industrial services team. You will drive HGV Class 2 vehicles and perform hands-on site duties across varied projects, including groundworks and spill response.

The role blends driving with on-site duties and training to National Grid and rail standards, with overtime and occasional away work.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence
• Experience in hands-on, multi-skilled trades
• RAMS documentation knowledge
• Tacho and vehicle checks understanding
• Flexible with overtime and call-outs
• Willingness to work away when required
• ADR beneficial but not essential
• Plant operation experience advantageous

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV/Class 2 vehicles and tankers
• Perform high-pressure jetting and spill clean-ups
• Carry out groundworks, remedial works and tank uplifts
• Install, service and inspect tanks and interceptors
• Conduct spill response and industrial cleaning
• Support emergency response operations
• Complete vehicle and Tacho checks
• Travel/working away as required
• Undertake training to National Grid and rail standards

The Multiskilled Technician With HGV Role

You'll combine HGV Class 2 driving with practical site‑based duties, working across a variety of environmental and industrial projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating HGV/Class 2 company vehicles and tankers
• High-pressure water jetting and spill clean‑ups
• Groundworks, remedial works and tank uplifts
• Tank and interceptor installation, servicing and inspections
• Spill response and industrial cleaning
• Supporting emergency response operations
• Completing vehicle and Tacho checks
• Working away when required
• Undertaking training to National Grid and rail standards

Multiskilled Technician With HGV Essential Skills

• HGV Class 2 licence
• Experience within a hands‑on, multi‑skilled trade environment
• Understanding of RAMS documentation
• Knowledge of Tacho and vehicle checks, or willingness to undertake training
• Flexible approach towards overtime and call‑outs
• Comfortable working away when required
• ADR would be beneficial but isn't essential
• Plant operation experience would be advantageous

This role could be particularly relevant to service leavers and veterans with transferable experience across transport, engineering, plant, logistics, field operations or other practical environments.
