Job summary

Searchability (UK) Ltd is recruiting a Multiskilled Technician with HGV to join our field operations in Tunbridge Wells. You will drive HGV Class 2 vehicles and perform site-based duties across environmental and industrial projects.

The role combines driving with hands-on tasks such as jetting, groundworks, tank work and spill response, with training to National Grid/rail standards and flexible overtime, including travel away when required.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence held.
• Experience in a hands-on, multi-skilled trade environment.
• Understanding RAMS documentation.
• Knowledge of Tacho and vehicle checks; training available.
• Flexible with overtime and call-outs.
• Willing to work away; ADR helpful but not essential.
• Plant operation experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles and tankers.
• Perform high-pressure water jetting and spill clean-ups.
• Carry out groundworks, remedial works and tank uplifts.
• Install, service and inspect tanks and interceptors.
• Respond to spills and industrial cleaning tasks.
• Support emergency response operations.
• Complete vehicle and tachograph checks; travel as needed.
• Undertake training to National Grid and rail standards.

The Multiskilled Technician With HGV Role

You'll combine HGV Class 2 driving with practical site‑based duties, working across a variety of environmental and industrial projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating HGV/Class 2 company vehicles and tankers
• High-pressure water jetting and spill clean‑ups
• Groundworks, remedial works and tank uplifts
• Tank and interceptor installation, servicing and inspections
• Spill response and industrial cleaning
• Supporting emergency response operations
• Completing vehicle and Tacho checks
• Working away when required
• Undertaking training to National Grid and rail standards

Multiskilled Technician With HGV Essential Skills

• HGV Class 2 licence
• Experience within a hands‑on, multi‑skilled trade environment
• Understanding of RAMS documentation
• Knowledge of Tacho and vehicle checks, or willingness to undertake training
• Flexible approach towards overtime and call‑outs
• Comfortable working away when required
• ADR would be beneficial but isn't essential
• Plant operation experience would be advantageous

This role could be particularly relevant to service leavers and veterans with transferable experience across transport, engineering, plant, logistics, field operations or other practical environments.
