Job summary

Blackpool Skip Hire Ltd. is seeking a practical Street Scene NEAT operative to help keep Blackpool clean, safe and tidy.

Based across Grange Park and Layton, you will respond to fly-tipping, litter, graffiti and dog fouling, and perform street cleansing and grounds maintenance using vehicles and equipment. You will need a full UK driving licence, good communication skills, and experience in environmental operations.

Qualifications

• GCSE Level 2 or equivalent with English and Maths.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required (up to 7.5 tonnes).
• Pesticide Application Qualification PA1/PA2/PA6; training within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Respond to enquiries on Street Scene duties (fly tipping, litter, graffiti).
• Drive and operate vehicles and equipment used for cleansing and maintenance.
• Liaise with Council services and engage with communities to improve neighbourhoods.
• Carry out manual street cleansing, waste collection and grounds maintenance.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform basic maintenance tasks.
