Job summary

RGB Recruitment is partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit a hands-on Site Maintenance Engineer for their Avonmouth site. The role covers maintenance of facilities, plant and equipment to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operation, with a shift pattern that includes nights.

You will perform preventative and reactive maintenance, fault finding and improvements, across mechanical, electrical, refrigeration and other systems, contributing to minimal operational disruption.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities engineering or maintenance environments.
• Hands-on experience across plumbing, electrical, refrigeration and mechanical systems.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventive and reactive maintenance across the site.
• Maintain facilities, plant and equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Conduct regular inspections and keep facilities at a high standard.
• Act as Legionella Responsible Person and manage water systems per legislation (training available).
• Respond to breakdowns with effective fault finding and repairs.
• Work to maintenance schedules and manufacturer guidelines.
• Record all maintenance activities accurately and ensure safety compliance.
• Collaborate with Site Engineering Manager and operations team to uphold high engineering standards.
