Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Multiskilled Engineer with Plumbing & Mechanical bias to support two diverse London sites, delivering planned and reactive maintenance on critical building services. You will ensure safety, compliance and high service standards while engaging with customers and stakeholders.

The role covers water hygiene, pumps and vessels maintenance, and small project support. A strong fault-finding mindset and independent workload management are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Proven commercial plumbing and mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience working with water systems, L8 water hygiene regimes, pumps, pressure vessels and TMV servicing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across plumbing, mechanical and building systems.
• Carry out water hygiene activities, including temperature monitoring, TMV servicing, water tank inspections and flushing regimes.
• Maintain and repair plant and equipment such as pumps, pressure vessels, calorifiers and closed-loop systems.
• Support small works projects, contractor management and compliance activities across both sites.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately recorded and compliant with company procedures and statutory requirements.
