Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Mechanical Fitter for a days-based role in Wolverhampton. You will split your time between mechanical and electrical maintenance on manufacturing equipment, with training provided to progress toward a Senior Engineer role.

The position offers a 40,000–42,500 GBP annual salary, plus 1.5x overtime, Monday to Friday hours (8:00–16:00) and flexible working hours. The company has a long-standing history and operates across the UK with global projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 electrical qualification.
• Multiskilled fitter background in steel or similar engineering setting.

Responsibilities

• Reactive and preventative maintenance of bespoke manufacturing machinery.
• Maintain varied mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Work 50/50 between mechanical and electrical tasks (incl. basic PLC systems).
