Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited in Lancaster is seeking a Multi-Skilled Fitter to join a workshop-based engineering team. You will assemble and install hardware to steel fabrications, wire single- and three-phase systems, connect pumps and motors, and carry out tests and final inspections.

The role provides training to upskill across mechanical and electrical disciplines, with clear progression pathways and regular overtime to boost earnings.

Qualifications

• Background in Mechanical or Electrical engineering or related field.
• Experience with wiring and panel assembly preferred.
• Comfort with testing and fault finding in electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Assembly and installation of hardware to steel fabrications including wiring and terminating single- and three-phase systems.
• Connecting pumps, motors, control panels, and lighting circuits.
• Carry out pressure tests, electrical continuity checks, fault finding and final inspections.
• Mechanical/Electrical fitting.
• Workshop based role.
• Monday-Friday.
