Job summary

Edwards & Pearce is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operative to join a Hull-based, on-site team in a permanent role. You will operate a range of process plant and equipment, contribute to safety, quality and housekeeping, and support production lines with efficient batch completion.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in manufacturing, a forklift licence, and the ability to work in a team with flexibility for shift patterns. English/Maths GCSEs preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to work in a team and adapt to job rotation and overtime
• Ability to comprehend and safely operate production equipment
• Demonstrated safety awareness and adherence to safe working procedures
• Counterbalance forklift truck licence holder
• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
• NVQ in Manufacturing Operations preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate production plant and equipment including heavy industry machinery
• Palletise and transport finished goods using forklift/pallet trucks
• Record production input/output data and monitor performance
• Complete line setup and follow batch instructions
• Submit product samples to QC lab for testing
• Support shift supervisor and participate in safety/COSHH meetings
• Contribute to 5S housekeeping and incident investigations
