Job summary

Astute's Power Team is recruiting a Maintenance Technician for a recycling process facility in Wrexham. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment, supporting breakdown repairs to maximise plant availability.

The role operates on a two-shift pattern (6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm) with overtime on alternating Saturdays, and requires experience with PLCs, drives, and conveyors. Full benefits available.

Qualifications

• Ideally apprenticeship trained in an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering field.
• Minimum Level 3 Engineering qualification
• IOSH would be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Supporting with breakdown repairs to maximise plant availability.
• Carrying out plant inspections to ensure plant safety.
• Reporting and investigating breakdowns, incidents, damage and faults.
• Supporting with process improvement initiatives.
• Ensuring all work is in accordance with health, safety and environmental standards and compliance.
