Job summary

Caterpillar Peterlee is seeking a Maintenance Technician (multiskilled) to perform planned and reactive maintenance across a variety of equipment in a manufacturing setting. The role focuses on uptime, safety, and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will have an apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical discipline, plus PLC experience, and be able to operate in a rotating 3-shift pattern with strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• A recognised apprenticeship in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline or equivalent.
• ONC/BTEC/NVQ Level 3 in Maintenance or Engineering.
• Experience with PLCs and fault-finding in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative and reactive maintenance to maximize uptime.
• Carry out Dynamic Risk Assessments and follow Health & Safety policies.
• Use SAP PM/Agility to review breakdown data and record actions.
