Job summary

thefutureworks is recruiting an experienced Maintenance Technician to join Coventry University Group on a temp-to-perm basis. The role offers a long-term opportunity within a large and diverse organisation and the chance to move into a permanent position subject to performance.

Qualifications

Experience in building maintenance, facilities services or multi-trade environments.
Proactive problem solver with strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team and manage competing priorities.
Physically active role with manual handling, working at height, and potential confined spaces.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality maintenance and facilities service across the Coventry University Group estate.
Carry out reactive repairs, planned preventive maintenance (PPM), and minor project works.
Support internal moves, furniture installations, event setups, and space reconfigurations.
Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CAFM system.
Ensure activities comply with health and safety legislation and university procedures.
