Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance & Service Technician for an on-site role at a student accommodation facility. The job requires a mechanical or plumbing background with NVQ Level 2 or equivalent and a full UK driving licence.

The position offers a structured daytime schedule (Mon-Fri, 8:30am–5:00pm), a company vehicle, and an on-call rota (one in four weeks). Training is provided for duties requiring ACOP L8 compliance and fire door inspections.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable maintenance experience with ability to perform planned and reactive tasks.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise workload under pressure.
• Good computer literacy and administrative capability.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across a student accommodation site.
• Participate in on-call rota and respond to requests within standard hours and on-call weeks.
• Carry out quarterly cleaning per ACOP L8 requirements with training provided.
• Monitor hot and cold water systems and maintain mechanical plant rooms.
• Conduct biannual fire door inspections and record faults or damage.
• Perform visual inspections of building fabric and carry out minor repairs.
• Assist with out-of-hours call-outs as required.
