Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

£42,000-£44,000 + 23 days holiday + Bank Holidays, company pension, training, and progression opportunities! A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-known FMCG manufacturer in the Worthing area. With no day ever being the same, the Maintenance Engineer will be involved in key processes within a rapidly expanding environment.

Below are the day-to-day responsibilities:

3. Completing PPM and reactive breakdown maintenance on manufacturing/industrial/FMCG machinery to maximize equipment performance
4. Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults across single- and three-phase systems
5. Conducting electrical fault-finding with quick response and rectification
6. Performing activities on 3-phase and single-phase power
7. Working on motors, pumps, metal detectors, flow wrappers, ultrasonic cutters, and packaging equipment
8. Source and replace spare parts as needed
9. Supporting continuous improvement projects on existing and new machinery
10. Ensuring all work complies with safety and quality standards
11. Performing other duties as required

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Time-served or formally qualified in engineering; experience preferred
• 17th/18th Edition wiring regulations and experience in FMCG/industrial settings
• Electrical bias with mechanical capability; welding experience is desirable
• Knowledgeable in electrical and mechanical duties, with a bias towards electrical
• PLC fault-finding experience is beneficial
• Hands-on and proactive attitude
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (mechanical and electrical)
• Familiarity with pneumatics and PLCs is a plus
• Knowledge of CAD systems is advantageous
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
