Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL near Grimsby is seeking a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer to oversee plant assets, perform PPMs, and drive reliability on a multi-skilled shift team.

The role operates on rotating days/nights with overtime paid at 1.25x; a pension and holidays are provided. Apprentice-trained engineers with strong fault-finding and basic electrical skills are encouraged to apply. Own transport is advisable due to site location.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained maintenance engineer with a strong mechanical bias.
• Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills on production equipment.
• Comfortable with basic electrical work only (e.g., motor changes).
• Ability to work independently on shift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant and production assets to high standards.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance per schedules.
• Respond to breakdowns with urgency and prioritize work.
• Conduct mechanical fault-finding on conveyors and equipment.
• Support production with engineering issues and improvements.
