Job summary

GLEBE FARM FOODS LIMITED in Huntingdon is seeking a qualified candidate for a mechanical and electrical engineering role. You will be responsible for maintenance support across various production activities, ensuring maximum uptime and compliance with health and safety standards.

Ideal applicants will have experience with food manufacturing equipment and proven problem-solving skills. This full-time position runs Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm, on a family-run farm devoted to quality gluten-free oats.

Qualifications

• Ideally possess a mechanical/electrical qualification or relevant experience.
• Able to identify faults, especially in PLC control and instrumentation.
• Effective communications skills at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Conduct the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM).
• Varied work on modern packing and beverage production equipment.
• Mechanical and electrical fault finding and repair.
• Ensure effective running for all internal customers.

Skills

Mechanical and electrical qualification or relevant experience

Experience with modern food manufacturing equipment

Fault identification in PLC control

Experience with steam pipeline work

BOAS Certification

Experience with HVAC and chiller systems
