Job summary

Wagstaff Recruitment is representing a UK known FMCG manufacturer seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer in Rochester, Kent. You will work on electrical and mechanical maintenance across PLC-controlled machinery, with a focus on PPMs, fault-finding and continuous improvement projects.

The role offers a competitive £42,000–£44,000 salary, 23 days holiday + bank holidays, company pension and strong training and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Time-served or formally qualified in engineering (electrical/controls preferred).
• Experience in FMCG/industrial settings is highly valued.
• 17th/18th Edition wiring regulations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Complete PPM and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults on single- and three-phase systems.
• Perform electrical and mechanical tasks on motors, pumps, and packaging lines.
• Source and replace spare parts; support continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure safety and quality compliance in all work.
