Job summary

Crompton Technical Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing site in Gloucestershire. The role covers both mechanical and electrical maintenance, with a focus on reducing downtime and improving plant performance.

You will work on planned, preventative and reactive maintenance, identify faults, implement improvements, and support site projects while upholding high Health & Safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance experience within a fast-paced production environment.
• Hands-on, practical engineer who can diagnose faults and resolve breakdowns.
• Proactive approach to preventive maintenance and continuous improvement.
• Excellent fault finding and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with schedules.
• Respond to reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Support engineering activities aimed at improving plant and equipment performance.
• Identify issues and implement effective engineering solutions.
• Support and oversee engineering improvement projects across the site.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve reliability.
• Promote and maintain high Health & Safety standards.
• Contribute to site development projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide engineering support to colleagues and maintain a positive team environment.
