Job summary

W Talent are representing a manufacturing company in Nottingham (Alfreton) seeking a permanent Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support production through proactive maintenance and rapid response to equipment breakdowns while maintaining high engineering and safety standards.

The role covers electrical and mechanical fault finding, planned maintenance, CMMS use, and adherence to safety procedures such as LOTO and risk assessments, with strong communication to Planning and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification required.
• Experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Electrical fault-finding experience.
• Mechanical fault-finding experience.
• Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Good understanding of preventative maintenance systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Respond to breakdowns promptly and repair to minimise downtime.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance across site equipment.
• Work with health and safety procedures including LOTO and risk assessments.
• Manage and action Engineering Reports via the CMMS system.
• Update maintenance activities and completed work in CMMS accurately.
• Communicate status and progress with Planning, Shift Managers, and Supervisors.
• Prepare detailed shift reports outlining engineering activities.
• Liaise with manufacturers and support teams for fault diagnosis.
• Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are completed on time.
