Job summary

pladis Global in Harlesden, UK, is seeking a highly capable multi-skilled maintenance engineer for a night shift role in the Maintenance Team. You will provide technical engineering support to production, carry out proactive maintenance, and identify improvement opportunities to enhance reliability and efficiency.

You will primarily handle mechanical and electrical tasks, fault finding, and CMMS planning, while adhering to safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• This role requires City & Guilds Part 3, BTech or HNC in Mechanical/Electrical disciplines.
• Proven multi-skilled engineering background in manufacturing is essential.
• Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide full maintenance support to production with focus on CBM and autonomous maintenance.
• Lead maintenance activities and mentor ATMs, apprentices and team members.
• Implement improvements and contribute to engineering action plans and continuous improvement.
• Ensure mechanical and electrical integrity of equipment and manage downtime and budget elements.
• Perform safety checks and uphold safe working practices and legislation.
• Coordinate with contractors and maintain engineering documentation and reports.
• Be flexible to cover other engineers during absences and on different shifts.
