Job summary

CV Technical Limited in Tipton is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer for a dayshift role with a hands-on, electrically biased or multi-skilled background. You will maintain production machinery and automated systems to minimise downtime and ensure smooth site operation.

The position involves diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults, supporting installations and improvements, and working closely with production teams to meet health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous Maintenance Engineering experience within manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with reactive and preventative maintenance.
• Knowledge of automated production machinery and industrial equipment.
• PLC fault-finding experience would be advantageous.
• A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs.
• Diagnose and fault-find electrical and mechanical issues.
• Maintain production machinery, automated equipment and conveyors.
• Fault-find on PLC-controlled systems.
• Support machinery installations, upgrades and improvements.
• Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime.
• Ensure all maintenance activities meet health and safety requirements.
